Social Marketing Manager for an EdTech company

About Tutorpeers.com is an EdTech startup company. Our main project is a peer-to-peer tutoring platform with event booking capabilities and interactive online sessions. We've tested the platform with a US-based market and several other geos and are now launching marketing campaigns to capture a broader audience.

We are seeking an SMM professional to help us build an online presence. You will be working closely with our Marketing and Product teams. We're looking for someone who's very detail-oriented, proactive, and has the ability to deliver creative content.

Requirements

• Fluent US English
• Minimum 3 years experience as an in-house SMM manager
• Experience in SMM projects for the US market
• Track record for creating B2C brand content
• Ability to produce video content
• Impeccable grammar skills and writing style
• Strong understanding of copywriting best practices
• Hands-on experience in content management
• Familiarity with digital marketing strategies and content strategies

Would be a plus

• Creative designer experience
• Experience writing content for blogs, emails, banners, ads, etc.
• Experience in working with tools to automate SMM tasks
• Knowledge of Hootsuite
• Experience in conducting SMM projects for educational projects
• Responsibilities
• Analysis of competitors' social communications
• SMM strategy development and planning a posting schedule for Instagram, Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, TikTok, Snapchat, Reddit, Telegram
• Creation and placement of content - posts, stories, etc
• Collaborate with Designer, BA, and Marketer to increase conversions on websites, improve other product metrics, and increase revenue from the Email/SMS marketing channel
• Generate ideas for content by researching and analyzing our target audience, customer feedback, and the niche as a whole
• Come up with new and innovative ways to engage our audience
• Prepare reports on SMM activities regularly
• Create branded and eye-catching copy (including but not limited to headlines, taglines, website/landing page copy, news, materials for the help center, Facebook/Instagram ads, and emails) to support sales
• Engage with clients via social media
• Analysis of results and proposing initiatives to increase the reach, engagement, and effectiveness
• Assist with special marketing projects and initiatives as needed
